Kununnara - Wyndham

Just had to show more of Lake Argyle couldnt help myself.
Any way off to Kununnara now stated 4 days resting cleaning etc.Out early Friday and off to Wyndham approx 100 ks away,small town not much to see here main thing new port being constructed for loading of ore roadtrains of 4 wagons approx 53 metres in length travel almost 250 ks from mine to port one leaving mine every 20 minutes or so.Loaders small not size of Newcastle Coal Loaders.Looked at pioneer cemetry,mainly graves here of people who died during construction of meat works in late 1800's.
Croc in main street of Wyndham not sure of significance but definetly no planking!!!! on this one.With time up our sleeve we a trip out to El-Questro a very much up market resort(some say it commands a price of up to $1200 to $1500 a night( we only stayed a week).Just kidding we ate our pre-packed lunch and left back over 50+ks of corrugated and dusty road back to highway and on to Kununnara.
Creek crossing on way home.Hope you see this Pete old mate cause you need off road model cruiser for this ha! ha!ha!any back to van set sat dish up to watch league on Sunday Arvo.Saturday Markets on bought fresh fruit and veg,then to information office for maps etc to send home on Monday.Out to oldest legal still in Australia for tastings (Rum)some good, others rocket fuel ,some would make good paint stripper.We bought a bottle of Liquer ripper stuff.Gail prepared meals for a few days,filled car,did big shop filled pantry,also coke and beer big buy up,we are not sure when we can get more.Sunday footy Knights 50 Titans 20 oh yeah!!!

  1. Good pics Wayne, but how can u honestly BRAG about having a REAL 4WD? I mean really, your 'TOY' 4WD only got it's toes wet! (have u ever thought of buying a Touareg?)
