Turkey Creek - Fitzroy Crossing - Geeki Gorge

On return to Turkey Creek we had to get van out of storage and spent rest of day washing the car, bedding and camping gear. Also rang Josh for his Birthday(where have those years gone mate). We had call from Deb,Gail caught up on the wedding plans for Kate etc.Left Turkey Creek ,Fuelled up again Halls Creek seems to us thats where most of our budget goes out here,we stopped at Mary's Pool an overnight free camp, what an eyeopener, place crowded 60 vans at least here, one van had been there 8 days, others 4 days, most only 1 then rejoin race to next stop.
After a nights rest,we left for Fitzroy Crossing, left at 7 30 am to beat the rush for sites at van park as we told no bookings taken first in first served need not have worried huge park here.Real green stuff on ground.Foxy up and running in time to watch Knights.Into town nothing open back for Happy Hour. Off to Geeki Gorge to do boat tour early before day gets to hot,so peaceful on the water, scenery great,I must say again(sorry)photos do not do it justice.
This does not show up here very well but the dark spots are mud nests for a small bird called
 Pocket Sparrow.

These plaques indicate depth of water during previous wet seasons. Now back to van to watch Knights belt the Raiders 40-8.Top game that but can it last 90 points in 2 games!!!!
